Setting up nutrition coaching

Choose between macros (flexible dieting) and structured meal plans, or use both, for each client.

Nutrition coaching means different things to different coaches, and FitFocus supports the two most common approaches. You can use either, or both, depending on what suits your client.

  • Macros, or flexible dieting: you set a daily calorie goal and macro targets for protein, fats, and carbohydrates. Your client eats to hit those numbers and logs their food in the app. This suits clients who want flexibility in what they eat.

  • Meal plans: you build a structured plan of specific meals and share it with your client. This suits clients who prefer to be told exactly what to eat.

Whichever you choose, it is delivered to your client through their app. See Assigning macros (flexible dieting) and Building and sharing meal plans to set each one up, and Client food logging for how your clients record what they eat.
